Alnylam Recognized by Newsweek as One of America’s Most Responsible Companies for the Fourth Consecutive Year
January 21, 2026
At Alnylam, corporate responsibility is hardwired into our identity. It isn’t a secondary initiative - it's a fundamental business practice that guides how we innovate for patients, support our employees, and and make a positive impact in the world. As a biotech leader, we view these efforts not as optional, but as a core obligation to our patients and the global community.
Our approach to corporate responsibility continues to evolve and expand, and we're extremely proud of our progress and impact detailed in our Corporate Responsibility report. We're also humbled by the recognition our efforts have earned us - most recently with the honor of being named one of Newsweek's America's Most Responsible Companies for the 4th year in a row. This prestigious list compiled by Newsweek and research firm Statista ranks the top 600 companies in America based on a holistic view of each company's social, environmental, and leadership practices—including carbon emissions, board diversity, and financial stability.
It is an honor to be recognized once again by Newsweek. This achievement demonstrates the commitment by our employees to support our patients and community while also working to mitigate our environmental impact. We work hard every day to be a responsible corporate citizen through collaboration with our stakeholders." – Arun Skaria, Head of Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Corporate Responsibility
This year, Alnylam was ranked #148 – up 7 spots from 2025 and ranked #15 within the "Health Care, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals" industry category.
Rankings were determined from a pool of the top 2,000 public U.S. based companies by revenue with published CSR reports, sustainability reports, and financial reports. Each company on the list was evaluated by consumer surveys as well as key performance indicators pulled from company environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports.
