Alnylam Named a Top Science Employer by Science Magazine for the 5th Year in a Row

All of us at Alnylam are deeply honored to be named a Science Magazine Top Employer for 2023, which marks our 5th consecutive year on the list and 5th top 5 ranking. This annual ranking is based on survey responses from scientists and other members of the biopharma community.

According to Science, this year's rankings are based on over 6,800 responses from people in in biotechnology (36 percent), biopharmaceuticals (40 percent), pharmaceuticals (20 percent), and other related industries (4 percent) around the world. Survey respondents rated companies on attributes such as innovation, corporate image, leadership and direction, work culture/environment, and academic and intellectual challenge. Geographically, respondents came from North America (59 percent), Europe (18 percent) and Asia/Pacific Rim (16 percent) and rest of world (7 percent). The responses determine which of hundreds of eligible employers make the list of top 20 companies. as well as revealing the behaviors and characteristics that drove their ranking performance.
Alnylam's top characteristics for 2023 were "Treats employees with respect," "Is socially responsible" and "Work-Employee Value Alignment."
