Alnylam Named a Newsweek Most Responsible Company for 2025
February 3, 2025
At Alnylam, corporate responsibility is part of our "RNA." It's deeply integrated across our business and influences the way we show up within our industry, from our focus on delivering innovative therapies to patients to the way we care for our employees to our support for our communities. As a leading biotechnology company, corporate responsibility is not just "a nice thing to do." It's part of our commitment and obligation to the patients we serve and to society.
Our approach has evolved over the years, and we're proud of our progress, as highlighted in our Corporate Responsibility report. What's so special about Alnylam is the way our employees help to drive the work forward.
There's a sense of accountability at every level of the organization, and it's that passion and dedication that has earned Alnylam recognition as one of America's Most Responsible Companies for the 3rd year in a row by Newsweek and research firm Statista. This prestigious list ranks the top 600 companies in America based on a holistic view of each company's social, environmental, and leadership practices—including carbon emissions, board diversity, and financial stability.
We're proud to be recognized by Newsweek once again this year. It's a true testament to our core values and to our people, who are relentlessly focused on serving patients while mitigating our environmental impact and improving the health of our communities around the globe." – Arun Skaria, Sr. Director, Head of Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Corporate Responsibility
This year, Alnylam was ranked #153 – up 223 spots from #376 in 2024 and ranked #14 within the "Health Care & Life Sciences" industry category – up 11 spots.
Rankings were determined from a pool of the top 2,000 public U.S. based companies by revenue with published CSR reports, sustainability reports, and financial reports. Each company on the list was evaluated by consumer surveys as well as key performance indicators pulled from company environmental, social and governance (ESG) reports.
